About me
Any of us at any time may need help of some sort. I am an adult counsellor/psychotherapist and I aim to facilitate curiosity and understanding to support you in making informed decisions about your life.
I have experience with young adults, women’s groups, teachers, older adults and neurodiverse individuals. I have worked in charities, schools and counselling services. I am a sensitive and compassionate listener and I offer a non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and experiences.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications
- MSc Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy - Birkbeck College, London
- Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling - WPF Therapy, London
- Certificate in Counselling Skills - WPF Therapy, London
- BEd (Hons) Secondary Physical Education - Bedford College of Physical Education
Experience
I started my career as a teacher in a secondary school for a few years and then worked in a charitable organisation abroad for a couple of years with young adults, teachers and women’s groups which involved teaching, peer-education and well-being support.
Back in the UK, I continued to work in charitable organisations offering practical assistance and emotional care.
I have since had a pastoral role in a sixth form college in London and after more training I have been offering counselling and psychotherapy for adults including both paid and honorary work in various charities and in a London School.
I continue to teach children and to counsel staff and to offer my skills as a psychotherapist in private practice.
I offer a free phone call followed by an in-person assessment, which could either lead to further sessions with me or support in finding the appropriate service for you.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
