About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health Care and Professionals Council (HCPC; Registration number PYL041495). I work in the NHS whilst having a small private practice.

Experience

Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings. This has included working with adults with mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, panic attacks and also with women and families during the perinatal period.

Psychotherapies Offered

As part of Clinical Psychology training, we learn to use a variety of therapeutic approaches and to adapt these to the needs of the individual.

I am currently undertaking specialist training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and predominately use this approach is my private practice.

Beginning of Therapy

(1) Telephone consultation

I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone consultation. Here you can briefly outline what you would like help with and together we can decide whether it is appropriate to arrange an initial assessment.

(2) Assessment

The initial sessions will take an assessment approach. This usually consists of two sessions of 90 minutes. This would allow us time to get a comprehensive understanding of your difficulties, and make a treatment plan together.

(3) Follow-Up

If we both agree to work together, we will arrange follow-up appointments. These appointments are often weekly or fortnightly and last for 90 minutes.

Fees

£130/90 minutes
