About me

Life is a journey filled with various seasons, each bringing its own set of challenges and joys. If you find yourself navigating the complex terrain of menopause or facing relationship difficulties, you're not alone. My counselling service is dedicated to providing support, understanding, and a confidential space for individuals and couples.

Menopause is a transformative phase in a woman's life, marked by both physical and emotional changes. Many individuals seek counselling during this period, facing challenges such as hot flashes, mood swings, and a sense of loss. As a specialised menopause counsellor, I offer comprehensive support to navigate the complexities of this journey. Beyond the physical symptoms, menopause often triggers a range of emotions, from anxiety to a shifting sense of identity. My approach to menopause counselling encompasses both the physical and emotional aspects, providing a holistic understanding and support system to empower individuals during this significant life transition.

Relationships are the backbone of our lives, but they can encounter challenges that require careful navigation. Couples often seek counselling for various reasons, including communication issues, intimacy struggles, or navigating major life changes. In couples counselling, my goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for open communication, understanding, and growth.

If you're experiencing the weight of depression, our sessions provide a confidential space to explore the roots of your feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and work towards a brighter future.

Anxiety can be overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. Together, we explore the complexities of anxiety, develop practical coping mechanisms, and build resilience.

Grieving the loss of a loved one is a uniquely challenging experience. I offer empathetic support to help you process your grief, find solace, and gradually move towards healing.

Issues related to eating disorders can have profound effects on both physical and emotional well-being. In counselling, we explore underlying issues and work towards establishing a positive relationship with food and body image.

Challenges related to self-esteem and self-image can impact every aspect of life. Through counselling, we work towards fostering self-discovery, challenging negative beliefs, and building a foundation of self-worth.

Embarking on a counselling journey is a courageous step towards positive change and personal growth. Whether you are navigating the unique challenges of menopause, seeking support for relationship issues, or grappling with individual concerns, I am here to provide compassionate and specialised guidance. Together, let's navigate the complexities of life and work towards a path of healing and fulfilment.

If you are are seeking a more extended therapeutic journey, our sessions will be tailored to meet your unique needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
