About me
I am a Health and Care Professionals (HCPC) registered Chartered Clinical Psychologist offering short or longer-term psychological therapies to adults (18+). I have over 7 years of experience working across the NHS and charity sector, providing emotional and psychological support to individuals struggling with a range of difficulties (including low mood, stress, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem). I have specialist training and experience in supporting people to recover from their experiences of trauma and working with minoritised and marginalised individuals.
My approach
I aim to provide a non-judgmental and warm space in which we can safely explore and process difficult thoughts, emotions, memories and any contextual factors that are causing you pain and getting in the way of you living a life in line with your values. As well as developing a better understanding of your current context and coping styles, therapy can also help you to develop different ways of managing difficult life situations, contributing to improvements in well-being. I aim to meet you where you are at, support you to reconnect with your strengths and tailor an intervention to promote your well-being. We will work together on finding ways to feel more empowered and fulfilled in your life, make changes, develop stronger emotional resilience and psychological flexibility.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I draw on various therapeutic approaches and work integratively in order to tailor the therapy to suit your needs. These include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Trauma-focused Therapy (including EMDR), Systemic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, among others.
We can discuss which approach best suits you in our initial assessment.
Process around starting therapy
I offer a free initial telephone call during which we can discuss any questions you may have. If we decide we would like to work together, we would proceed to 1-2 assessment sessions to gain a more in-depth understanding about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to achieve. Following this, we can agree on a treatment plan and our regular session times.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
