About me
Hello and welcome - I am Esther and I offer Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy to Founders, Entrepreneurs and Individuals. Based in Southampton UK, online sessions and tailored solutions are available too.
Founders' Therapy: Supporting the Mental Well-Being of Entrepreneurs
As a therapist working with founders and entrepreneurs, I understand the unique challenges and pressures that come with starting and running a business. Entrepreneurship is a demanding journey filled with high stakes, constant decision-making, and the weight of responsibility – all of which can take a toll on mental health.
In my practice, I provide a sanctuary for founders to talk through and explore the mental health struggles that are common in the entrepreneurial world, including:
- Chronic stress and anxiety
- Depression and burnout
- Imposter syndrome and self-doubt
- Substance abuse issues
- Relationship strain and isolation
In our work together, the emphasis will be on your autonomy and the freedom to explore your experience, feelings and self-awareness at a greater depth. In this non-judgmental holding space, you'll unearth your unique pathways toward balance and purposeful living.

Experience:
- I run a Private Practice from my home office in the heart of Shirley in Southampton.
- I am currently volunteering at a local FE College where I work with adults and clients in the age group 16 - 25. I have completed the NSPCC Safeguarding Training for 16 - 25 year olds: England & Wales. Enhanced DBS checked.
- Previous long term voluntary commitments include remote counselling for adults at Online Therapy UK.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Initial Consultation (30 minutes)
Your initial consultation is free and you are under no obligation to continue. This will be carried out remotely via Google Meet.
In person sessions (50 minutes per session)
Fee: £50 per daytime session. I offer individual therapy sessions from my private practice in the heart of Shirley in Southampton (SO15), located near Raymond Road Surgery and a 20 minute walk from Southampton Central train station. Free on road parking is available.
Online sessions (50 minutes per session)
Fee: £50 per daytime session. I deliver online video therapy sessions via Google Meet. All you will need is a phone, tablet or computer + a confidential environment with stable WiFi.
Tailored in person sessions (50 minutes per session)
Fee: variable. I can offer a tailored solution such as traveling to your office. Fees will vary based on travel time and travel costs.

The space:
In-person sessions take place in an inviting dark green office, overlooking a small green garden where you often see bees at work.
Light and temperature can be adjusted.
Accessibility:
Private entrance via a patio with two low steps. There is also one step to navigate as you enter the office.
Toilet facilities available.
