About me
Hello there, my name is Dr Erin Reid and I am a Counselling Psychologist, Systemic Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, Lecturer, and Service Manager working in the NHS, voluntary sector, and in private practice. I offer short- and long-term psychological therapy interventions to individuals (adults and young people), couples, families, and groups. I provide Zoom™, Skype™, FaceTime™, and telephone counselling sessions, and clinical supervision and personal therapy to trainees and qualified psychologists.
I understand that for many people, traditional models of therapy (where therapist and client meet in a therapy room) are not their preference. I have a great interest in wellbeing and fitness, and the intersection between physical and emotional wellbeing. As such, between April and October each year, I offer daytime 'Walk and Talk' therapy sessions in Primrose Hill, Golders Hill Park, and Regents Park. These sessions combine the therapeutic impact of walking outdoors in nature, at a gentle pace, with transformational conversations that will help you move forward through the challenges that you are currently facing. [Please note that regrettably, Walk and Talk will not be available in 2022].
My practice adheres to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards and the British Psychology Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available.
I work with people experiencing a full range of emotional difficulties and life challenges. Please feel free to get in touch with me and we can think together about the types of help you might benefit from at this time.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
