About me

Hello! I’m Emma, a therapist specialising in helping young adults navigate stress and anxiety, challenges of university life, early career adjustments, and complex family dynamics. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where you can explore your feelings and grow.

My therapy approach is integrative which means I combine techniques. This tailored method helps address your immediate concerns while uncovering deeper emotional patterns, fostering self-awareness and resilience.

Key Focus Areas

○ Low self-esteem and negative self-talk
○ Relationship issues and break-ups
○ Being in and staying in unhealthy relationships
○ Lack of focus and direction in life
○ Fear and anxiety in work
○ Fear and anxiety in social settings
○ University studying stress and pressures
○ Boundary Setting
○ Spiritual inquiry and existential
○ Family issues and past traumas

Drawing from both professional and personal experience in therapy, I offer a compassionate and understanding approach, ensuring you feel heard and valued. I also believe financial constraints should not hinder therapy. I offer a sliding scale fee to accommodate your financial situation as a student. Our sessions are strictly confidential, allowing you to express yourself freely and safely.

Therapy is a powerful tool for personal growth and overcoming life’s hurdles. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, seeking clarity, or simply need someone to talk to, I’m here to guide you towards healing. Feel free to reach out today, and let’s take the first step together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
