About me

Hello, I'm Emma, a fully qualified BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with over 14 years of experience working in mental health settings. I'm passionate about helping people find their own answers to their problems and I'm here to support you in doing so.

During my career, I've worked with a wide range of mental health issues, and I have found that each person's experience is unique. That's why I offer a personalized approach to therapy. I want to hear what you want and need from life, and together we will work on setting and achieving your goals.

Therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth and healing, and I'm committed to helping you make the most of your therapy experience. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or trauma, I can help you find the answers and goals to move towards a fulfilling life.

I understand that taking the first step to seek help can be challenging, which is why I offer an initial assessment session to help us determine the best way forward for your therapy. We can work together to build a therapeutic relationship and create a personalized plan to help you achieve your goals and build a life worth living.

Ultimately, therapy is about you - your life, your way. I'm here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity and understanding, and develop the skills you need to lead a more fulfilling life.

Confidentiality and privacy are essential aspects of therapy, and I adhere to the BACP ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy. If you're ready to take the first step towards a more fulfilling life, don't hesitate to contact

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
