About me

Do you feel like you’re treading water like you might be pulled under? Are you struggling to cope with overwhelming feelings of uncertainty, or loss? Maybe you’re having relationship difficulties, or you are feeling isolated and aren’t sure which way to turn.

Counselling can feel like a lifeline to help you better understand the changes happening in your life. Helping you to gain clearer insight, feel calmer and better able to cope with the stresses, difficulties and decisions you are faced with.

Seeking support when life feels hard can be overwhelming, but by reaching out, you have taken the first step. I offer a safe, confidential, therapeutic space where we will work together to help you find your way forward.

Contact me today, and together we can explore the aspects of your life that are concerning you, and work towards the changes that you want to make.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an integrative counsellor meaning I combine different therapeutic approaches to ensure we work effectively together for your specific personal needs. Gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling from the University of Greenwich, I am a fully qualified, registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have experience working with adults and young people in a variety of different settings, including hospice care, community centers and charity organizations. I have gained invaluable experience, particularly in the area of loss and life changes, helping people to feel less overwhelmed, explore and normalize their feelings, and feel better able to express their needs to others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Working with neurodivergent people who may be autistic, have ADHD or dyslexia, whether you are diagnosed, still discovering or are a family member. Neurodivergence increases the likelihood of social and emotional challenges, including higher anxiety. My practice is Autism Dialogue Approach (ADA) informed, meaning I offer an affirming space to explore what neurodiversity means for you, promoting self-acceptance and raised awareness.
