About me

My name is Ellen.  I love my job.  I work hard to ensure you will receive the highest possible service from me, and to ensure you feel supported and safe throughout the time we spend together. I am a qualified Counsellor working in the Lichfield area (face to face) and with clients across the UK (online).

Talking to me will give you the opportunity to have an open and honest conversation with me about whatever is troubling you.

Working at your pace, we can talk things through and explore how to make the changes you want to see in your life.  I won't judge you and I won't offer advice.  I will empower you to take control of your mental health.

I use different counselling techniques to help us work through issues together. I can help you gain insight into yourself and your relationships, reduce stress and depression, to move forwards if you are feeling stuck and help you see a different perspective. I can support you following the death of a loved one, a loss or a trauma.

It is important that we both feel we will work well together so I offer a free 20-minute consultation for us to get to know each other. I will explain to you how I work, what I charge and what you can expect from me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
