About me

Hello, I’m Liz, thank you for exploring my profile. I know it can feel daunting to even think about discussing the issues and challenges you face with anyone but I’m here to provide a safe space for you to do just that. You will be welcomed with empathy and acceptance and we will collaborate to facilitate the change you need.

I work mainly in a person centred way, but my counselling diploma is integrative, meaning that I studied across a range of therapeutic models, which is useful as it allows me to tailor interventions to your specific needs. This year, my CPD has focussed on the trauma training offered by Carolyn Spring, which has broadened my awareness and knowledge and increased my ability to help clients struggling with the impact of trauma.

I have a passionate belief in the hope for healing, growth, personal development and transformation that counselling affords, regardless of the circumstances that bring you to me. I am totally committed to the process of working with you to achieve progress and see you flourish.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed a Diploma in Counselling in 2015 and a Certificate in Couples Counselling in 2022. I volunteered since then with several organisations, including Glasgow Council on Alcohol and Kerith Counselling in East Kilbride. I have experience across a range of issues including anxiety and depression, domestic and sexual abuse, low self-esteem, grief, bereavement and loneliness, alcohol addiction and relationship issues.
