About me
Welcome, I'm Dr Nazia Taj, a Clinical Psychologist (registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society), dedicated to providing compassionate and effective therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-confidence and trauma. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences without judgement.
I have extensive training and experience in evidence based therapeutic approaches and I have worked in the National Health Service and in the Private Sector. With more than 15 years of practice, I am deeply committed to helping individuals overcome their mental health challenges and live more fulfilling lives.
I take a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy, drawing from various modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Together we will tailor the treatment to your unique needs and preferences, working towards lasting positive change.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
