About me

Hi there, I’m Deborah

I am an Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor providing bespoke support through Counselling, Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy, I work with adults, young people.

I work from pluralistic perspective, which means my training draws from various classic approaches and use them together in response to the uniqueness of each client and their needs collaboratively. This style of therapy enables us to work flexibly and effectively with the past, present and the future, all underpinned with a Person-Centred approach.

I have over seventeen years of experience in working in Adult and Children's services, working in areas of, Family services, Mental health, Homelessness, Fostering services and recently NHS IAPT service. My work also support Employee Assistance Providers (EAPs) to offer help to people struggling at work across the UK.
I offer a safe and confidential setting allowing you to be able to come and be as you are. Together we can explore the difficulties you’re experiencing in a supportive and none judgmental way. I am passionate about empowering you to overcome your challenges to achieve the life you want.

I have experience of supporting adults and children who have experienced trauma and abuse, relationship issues such as communication problems, conflict, separation, I have also worked with individuals who have neurological health issues and their families and those suffering with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, suicide and self-harm.

Accredited with the (NCS) soon to be the (NCPS), National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, my model of care is rooted in its ethical framework. I am flexible to work short or long-term with adults and young people (18+) and children (10+). I’m committed to receiving supervision and continuing professional development to ensure that I provide a high quality service.

Counselling can make a profound impact on the lives of individuals. It helps people navigate difficult life situations and creates understanding and acceptance. It can guide individuals to put in to perspective their emotional lives and learn them how to express their emotions in more adaptive and healthier ways.
