About me
Hello and welcome to my page. I am David and I specialise in sex and relationship therapy. I work with individuals and couples, offering support on a wide range of themes including:
- Sexual Anxiety
- Erectile difficulties
- Premature and delayed ejaculation
- Sex addiction / compulsive sexual behaviours
- LGBTQ issues including coming out
- Shame
- Painful sex
- Low desire
- Kink
- Anxiety and Depression
I also offer support for concerns related to sexualised drug use (Chemsex), survivors of sexual trauma, and living with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV.
I am also a couples therapist, offering support for a wide range of relationship concerns including:
- Infidelity
- Consensual non-monogamy
- Communication issues
- Sexual challenges within the partnership(s)
- Intimacy issues
As a gay man I bring a deep, empathetic and sensitive perspective to sex and relationships. With this perspective, I employ a wide range of techniques that best suit each individual or couple. My goal is to empower individuals and couples to gain insight into their behaviours, help them understand the underlying reasons, and facilitate positive change.
I offer both online and in-person therapy sessions from a comfortable and cosy space in Clapham North. This allows clients the flexibility to choose the mode of therapy that suits them best, whether it's the convenience of online sessions or the comfort of in-person meetings in a contemporary and welcoming environment.
Training, qualifications & experience
In my career to date I have had the privilege of working with some of the UK's leading sexual health organisations, such as the 56 Dean Street sexual health clinic and Controlling Chemsex. Additionally, I possess extensive experience in counselling children and young people who have experienced trauma.
I'm a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, and I am a member of the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). I hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical sexology and relationship therapy and a certificate in counselling skills and practice from the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS). I am degree educated and I also co-own an education and training business.
