About me

Hello,

I am Corrinne and I am passionate about providing client-centred support, seeking great mental health and wellbeing for my clients.  I have been a qualified counsellor for some years and I have experience of working with a variety of different clients, by telephone (remotely) and face-to-face.

There are times when we all need to take some time to think about what is troubling us and we may not know what the 'questions' are, let alone the 'answers'.  We may be 'stuck' and just not sure what to do next.  I can work with you in exploring the issues that are impacting you, at your own pace, and support you in finding your solutions.

As well as working remotely and face-to-face indoors, I also offer outdoor therapeutic intervention which involves having counselling sessions outside in nature.

What’s involved?

The initial free session would be for us to get to know each other a little and to see whether I am the best counsellor for you.  If after meeting we agree to proceed, we will discuss the best day and time for the sessions.

Further sessions would involve us exploring your concerns and experiences and discovering your next steps.  I wont judge you and will work with you so that you can find the best solutions for you.

The sessions can take place inside (Northamptonshire), outside (Northamptonshire) or remotely (Anywhere).

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been a fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor for over 5 years and have also worked with a national mental health charity, a nature-based social enterprise and a children and young people's charity, during this time.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within the BACP Ethical Framework for all interactions with clients.

I attend regular supervision with a senior practitioner to support me in giving clients the best possible service.

Qualifications include:

  • BACP Certificate of Proficiency
  • CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
  • CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health
  • ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring
  • ILM Wellbeing Coaching

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
