About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with many years experience working with depression, anxiety, attachment, interpersonal/relational trauma, abuse, family & relationships issues/conflicts and isolation.

I offer sessions in English & Portuguese (Brazil).

If things don't feel right at the moment, you have been feeling sad and struggling to have meaningful relationships with those around you, know that you don't need to go through it alone. Feeling connected is never easy when you have emotional wounds needing to be healed while trying to fit everything in.  It's not always easy to keep up with all that's out there, and this can feel isolating.

When you choose to delve in the therapeutic journey you may give yourself a chance to re-assess the choices you have been making and, with my support, put things into perspective to the person and life you live now. This is not an easy journey, but it may lead to you being able to create changes that suit you now.

Stress, trauma and other emotional hardship can be daunting and blinding, impacting every relationship in your life.  And, having the space and time to look and recognise patterns that are not working anymore, or even validate some of your feelings can also have a strong impact on all your relationships.

And I offer my presence, commitment and experience to help you on this therapeutic process and exploration.

The main focus of our work will be defined by you and centred in your needs. My role is of a companion in your personal journey to support your emotional exploration and growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am experienced psychotherapist with a BSc in Psychology from PUC-SP University  (Sao Paulo,  Brazil) and an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy at IATE in London.

I speak English, Portuguese (Brazil).

In addition to my private practice I also have over 10 years experience working for charities, NHS and schools.

I take part in constant Continuous Professional Development training and activities to keep myself updated on the most recent researches and techniques to support my clients.

Some of the main issues I have experience working with are interpersonal trauma, stress, isolation, depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, sexual abuse, child sexual abuse, relationship issues, inter-cultural issues, abuse, self esteem and insecurity, work related difficulties and parenting.

I am registered with the BACP and HCPC and abide to their codes of conduct and ethics.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
