About me

Feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed lately? Perhaps you feel worried or afraid? Or maybe you feel tired, stressed, or just not good enough? Experiencing these emotions is common, but you don't have to face them alone. That's where I come in.  I understand - I’ve been in that dark and confusing place before, too. I know how challenging it can be to untangle your thoughts and feelings, and to make sense of it all. But there's a way forward.

Imagine a space where you can openly express your worries, fears, and uncertainties without fear of judgement. A space where we can explore how you got to where you are now, how you can discover and accept your unique self, and work towards finding solutions that make a difference in your life. That’s what I want to offer you.

As an integrative counsellor, I can blend various counselling approaches and techniques to best suit your individual needs.  Whatever you’re going through, I'm here to walk with you and support you every step of the way.  I also offer coaching, so when you are ready to move on from working on the difficulties you are bringing from your past and present, I can help you create a roadmap for a future you really want.

If this sounds right for you, please contact me by email, or feel free to book an introductory call with me for a no-obligation chat to think about how we might work together

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching, and am registered as a therapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I also worked as a mental health nurse for almost 20 years before I qualified as a counsellor, helping people from all walks of life who had been through all sorts of experiences and difficulties.

I am experienced in working with adults of all ages, but have particular expertise working with young adults aged 16-25.  I also have extensive experience of working with individuals who are neurodivergent, particularly ASD and ADHD, or clients who may have a neurodivergent loved one.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
