About me
A few years ago, going through a difficult period led me to seek therapy—a decision that transformed my life. Inspired by the compassion I received, I became a counsellor to offer the same support to others. My personal and professional experiences mean I truly understand how challenging life can be, and I’m here to support you on your journey.
If you're unsure why you're not enjoying life as much as you could, I'll help you identify what can make a difference.
Life can be tough—whether you're facing relationship issues, depression, anxiety, loss, or simply not feeling yourself.
Your childhood experiences may be impacting your adult life, or you might need impartial help because you and your partner are struggling to get along.
Counselling can help you understand and work through these issues. If you're considering counselling, you're already starting a journey of change that can feel both challenging and rewarding.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you’re not alone—together, we can navigate whatever challenges you might be facing, at your pace and in your own time. My approach is compassionate and down-to-earth, offering genuine care in a relaxed and welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable to be yourself.
If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or unsure, please know you don’t have to face these feelings on your own. I am here to offer a safe, supportive space where we can gently explore whatever you’re experiencing. My aim is to walk alongside you with kindness, empathy, and understanding as you take steps towards greater self-awareness and fulfilment. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, work through challenges, and find ways to move towards a more balanced and meaningful life. We’ll go at a pace that suits you, always in a way that feels comfortable and right for where you are now.
I work from a dedicated space in my home, ensuring privacy and confidentiality so that you can explore your feelings without feeling judged.
The key to effective therapy is the relationship with your counsellor. Feeling comfortable with them is essential and so before you choose to work with me I offer a free 20 minute telephone call to get to know each other and see if we are a 'good fit'.
I keep my skills current by attending professional development sessions, training courses, and receiving regular supervision.
I prioritise self-care and remind my clients to do likewise, as we often neglect our own well-being in a busy world.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
