About me

I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, coach and teacher with 20 years of experience. I love working with children and young people and have always been inspired to support young people to thrive.

Everyone needs a safe space to talk, feel and be. This is what my counselling and creative therapy service provides for children and young people.

Whether they are having a difficult time at school or home, or struggling to maintain friendships and access emotions I can help your child or young person to feel safe, confident and secure.

I use a person centred approach meaning that every session is based on forming a strong relationship based on the needs of the young person. We can explore emotions and situations using therapeutic art techniques, play with sand tray or figures, talk therapy or anything else which the young person is drawn to.

I have extensive experience working with neurodiversity and SEND and always accommodate my sessions to support the individual.

I have a private practice running in person sessions from clinic Clapham and also provide sessions in schools and homes around South London.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

After school sessions are in high demand and there can be a long waiting list.

I often visit children and young people in school so as not to miss out on too much learning time travelling to and from daytime sessions.

Where home education is taking place and there are high levels of anxiety I undertake home visits which can also be really successful.
