Client Feedback:
"Charlotte is the first proper therapist that I have ever had and I can honestly say that I have a bit more trust in professionals now. She is very supportive, respectful, caring and puts a lot of thought into how she can help. I feel very comfortable and happy to open up to her about most things now even if it is difficult for me and took some time to get to that point. I am very grateful to have her as my therapist and I couldn't have picked anyone better."
"Cannot recommend Charlotte enough, I was always sceptical about therapy but Charlotte made me feel at ease from day one, she is amazing and has helped me come so far from the place I was. Thank you so much for everything."
"I think she is the perfect therapist for me. She responds quickly, she listens to what I am saying. Great therapist."
"A truly amazing professional and friendly service provided. From the moment I met Charlotte, I was made to feel at ease and was able to quickly build a rapport, which helped me to get the best out of the sessions."
"Through Charlotte's gentle approach, I learnt so much about myself and identified patterns of behaviour that were keeping me stuck! I would have no hesitation in recommending the service to anyone wishing to make positive changes in their life, or using the service again in the future should I need to. Thank you Charlotte!"
"I feel that our four sessions have helped me massively, and I have taken a positive outcome out of how you guided me and put a different perspective on my way of thinking."
"I had 12 sessions with Charlotte, and I can honestly say she's changed me. I was at rock bottom after losing my Dad, and she's helped me get out of that dark hole."
"From the first session I felt completely comfortable and at ease, and you made it feel like a totally safe space. You managed to open my eyes to new perspectives and “untangled” my thoughts."
"Charlotte, thank you for helping me find the freedom to believe in a better future. Thank you for helping me find a new sense of self belief and self confidence."
Special Interests:
I have a particular interest in spotting patterns, helping you to connect the dots, and learn how to make changes.
My experience has covered:
- Bereavement & loss
- Exploring depression
- Self abandonment
- Low self esteem
- Complex & deep-rooted trauma
- Healing following relationship breakdown
- Working with narcissism
- Narcissistic abuse
- Health anxiety
How I can help:
I offer integrative counselling that is tailored to your needs. I work in a way that is solution-focused, but at your pace. So that you can spot the small and possible changes that are within reach for you, and help you strive for them. I am keen to help you explore the root cause of your problem, assess the current impact - and put steps in place to help you move forward.
I am a Level 5 qualified psychotherapist with certifications in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and humanistic counselling. I am also a Level 3 hypnotherapist. My style means sessions are adaptive and we will work together to support your best possible outcome.
How we can work together:
I offer a free introductory conversation, and the option to book a block of counselling sessions for a reduced cost. Because I offer the option to work over video, you are able to connect with me from the comfort of your own home. If you choose this approach, I recommend finding yourself a quiet spot where you can be left uninterrupted for an hour each time we chat. If there are any confidentiality considerations from your home, we can discuss this.
For those who prefer being out in nature, or who may feel more comfortable and relaxed in a setting which is perhaps less intense than traditional therapy, I also offer walk and talk therapy in a public green space close to Liverpool. It is recommended that these sessions take place during the day time, when it is more quiet and confidentiality can be assured. There are numerous benches and rest-spots along the pathways, for those who may prefer to sit and feel a gentle breeze while they explore their thoughts and feelings.
For collaborative and connective face-to-face sessions, I also conduct therapy from a cosy therapeutic space in central Southport, close to the train station and with parking on site.
My promise to you:
I promise to work with you at your pace. I promise to gently guide you through the process and I promise to help you navigate the difficult points. Therapy is hard but the fact that you are here already shows an incredible bravery and strength that I hope to help you nurture.
Ways of working:
Join me for face-to-face sessions in the Merseyside area!
I also offer secure video sessions so that we can communicate flexibly.
