About me

Hello and welcome, thank you for being here.

My name is Charlotte, and I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, working both in private practice and as a counsellor for Wiltshire Mind.

I completely understand how daunting it can be to take the first steps to seek help, and I hope to make the process for everyone that I work with as easy as possible.

Why might you seek counselling and how does it work?

Perhaps you are feeling low and struggling to find joy and meaning in the every day, maybe you’re feeling dissatisfied with how your life currently looks and would like to make some changes, or it could be that you have a particular issue that you would like to work through. Therapy can be helpful for so many different reasons, and I am here to support you in whatever you would like to bring. No problem is too big or small, and there is no need to have a specific reason to seek counselling. If you are feeling like you need some extra support, we can work together to unpack things and lighten your mental load.

I aim to create a warm, down to earth environment where you can feel comfortable sharing with me. In this safe space you can explore your emotions, thoughts, behaviours, gain self-awareness, and develop empowering coping strategies. I am committed to building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, which helps to create positive change that improves overall wellbeing and life satisfaction. I understand how difficult it can be to stop worrying about the future, or dwelling on the past, but together we can work towards you feeling comfortable and satisfied in the here and now.

How do I work?

As an integrative counsellor, I approach therapy from a holistic perspective, drawing from various therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each person that I work with. I believe that no single approach fits all, so I tailor our sessions to address each client's specific concerns and goals. I draw upon elements of person-centred, gestalt, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapies to provide a supportive and collaborative space for growth and healing.

I am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, grief & loss, low self-esteem, overwhelm, domestic issues, relationship/family issues, low mood, burnout and more. I am open to working with whatever you would like to bring to the session, nothing is too big or small for us to navigate together.

If you are looking for a safe, confidential, empathetic space to feel heard without any judgement, please reach out to me and we can discuss how we might work together.

Seeking help is a brave and empowering step towards feeling like yourself again.
