About me
Hello and Welcome to my profile. I am Carina, a qualified and experienced Person Centred Therapist. I offer 60 minute sessions either face to face in central Bognor or online using Zoom. My specialist area is working with people who have experienced a bereavement or a loss. Whether that is through the loss of a loved one, a relationship breakdown, retirement, menopause or any other area of life where you feel empty, like something is missing. I have a particular interest in working with those who are navigating life single and childless.
How I work
You may have been struggling for quite some time and just thought, "well that's how it is, that's just life!". Then you experience one challenge too many or find yourself with a sudden and unexpected life change and think "Enough is enough!".
Counselling is a journey into your inner world, which may feel scary and uncomfortable at times. I will be right there with you, providing empathy and insight, so you are not on your own. With compassion and understanding I work with you to look inside yourself to truly listen and hear what you actually want and need. Together we can discover what you need to make sense of your life and to find your inner ability to thrive.
If you are ready to take the first step into counselling, please contact me to schedule a free introductory call.
I am fully insured and am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor offering face to face and online counselling in Bognor Regis. I trained at the University of Chichester and have worked as a counsellor within the NHS, a local Hospice and a Women's Centre. I work with individuals experiencing grief, loss and bereavement as well as anxiety, isolation, loneliness, relationship issues, low self-esteem and work-related stress amongst many others.
Prior to training to become a Counsellor I was a Samaritans Listening Volunteer and so I have many year's experience in helping individuals who are struggling with life.
