About me

It can be difficult to try and get through things on your own. Eventually, this may feel exhausting or even lead to hopelessness. You may be struggling with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, mood-related problems, relationships, or perhaps personal issues. Therapy can help you uncover a lot of uncertainties, address and explore these issues. My role is not to tell you what to do or direct you in any way, eventually you will be doing this on your own.

I am here to walk with you through these difficulties as you discover more about yourself, offering a space of your own that is safe and confidential - free of judgements and criticisms. As an integrative counsellor I am able to work with past, present, and future related problems. Our sessions will move at your pace and readiness to meet your needs.

When I first decided to access counselling, my anxiety was through the roof so I understand it may be difficult. There is no harm or shame in having an initial consultation which could help you and your counsellor identify whether you could work together. Our initial consultation will last 15-20 minutes, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

My Qualifications and experiences:

  • PGDip Integrative Counselling and Coaching at University of East London (BACP accredited)
  • UEL BSc (Hons) Psychology (2012-2016) (BPS accredited)

I have worked with various groups of people covering many races, ages, backgrounds, future interests, and beliefs. I have mainly worked in the NHS (GP based) providing a confidential, empathic, and safe space for those in need whilst they await to have further help from services. At present, I also work with Mind in Enfield and Barnet providing brief therapy for clients facing problems with anxiety and depression.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
