About me

I am a woman who has walked this path in my own personal journey and I understand the difficult journey and how valuable it was for me to have someone walk with me, not to be carried but to be heard accepted and understood.

I am a professional counsellor registered with the BACP and I am bound by the ethical framework to provide clients with a professional, congruent service, to maintain professional boundaries, values and standards.

My Service is in the West Dunbartonshire area, I have recently opened an office in Alexandria, and I am aspiring to bring a genuine confidential service to this area, a service that will give clients a comfortable safe space to be able to talk about difficult issues and emotions, to encourage a trusting confidential relationship with clients,

I want to help you on this journey, to walk beside you as you explore your way forward.

REDUCTION IN FEES! A warm welcome to you. The Coronavirus is affecting all elements of our lives at the moment. There is a lot to deal with that may be eased from seeking emotional support through counselling. You may also be looking for counselling for wider issues that have been present in your life and have been effecting you from before the virus began: in your home, childhood, relationships, work, family and social life. These may have been exacerbated due to enforced isolation at this time. Whatever the reason you are seeking counselling i am looking forward to hearing from you.
In these very difficult times to ensure that you can still get access to the counselling you need i am reducing my hourly fee from £40 to £30 per hour until 30th April. If you are a frontline NHS worker, carer, food provider or work in a shop or supermarket there are extra reductions to this fee so please get in touch to find out more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
