About me
My name is Dr Anna Lose and I am a qualified Chartered Clinical Psychologist, with over 10 years of experience working within the NHS and privately.
My preferred way of working is integrative – adapting my approach to the individual’s needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and systemically informed approaches. This is because Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is the first-line evidence-based treatment for a number of difficulties.
As a clinician, I take an empathic and compassionate approach, whilst at the same time helping you to find ways of challenging yourself on the road to self-improvement. I will provide you with a non-judgemental open space, where you can talk about what is on your mind, whilst sometimes redirecting us to how this may relate to your life overall.
I offer therapy services to adults, children, and families with a wide range of difficulties and concerns. I have experience of helping people with difficulties, such as anxiety, stress, depression/low mood, phobias, OCD, body image issues, relationship and family difficulties, and issues related to health conditions (e.g. diabetes, migraines), and others.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have the following qualifications:
- PGDip in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People – University of Reading, 2018-2019
- DClinPsy in Clinical Psychology, University of East London, 2013-2016
- MSc Health Psychology, Middlesex University, 2012-2013
- BSc Psychology, City University London, 2006-2009
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
