About me

Hi my name is Amy-Rose, I am a fully qualified counsellor who specialises in children and young people from 5-18 years.
I also counsel adults. I am an integrative counsellor, which basically means I can work with various different models of counselling such as; person centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic as well as play therapy. I would use a range of these models to tailor to my clients needs to ensure they get the best support they require out of seeing me.

Please see below the list of issues I work with.

I understand how confusing this time must be trying to find a counsellor and making sure the counsellor is right for you is the very first step in your journey. Because seeing a counsellor who you feel you can build trust with is key to successful counselling. I offer a free phone consultation to allow you an insight on whether I would be the right counsellor for you and a space where you can ask any questions you may have.

Having gone through my own counselling, it inspired me to want to give back, I understand how it feels to be sat in your shoes and knowing how much courage it takes to open up and be vulnerable with the right person.

I would just like to take this time to point out that counselling isn't just for addressing specific issues- it's a valuable resource for anyone feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or simply seeking support and clarity in life's journey. I truly believe that your emotional well-being matters, regardless of whether you can pin point specific 'issues'. Feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or just not quite yourself are all valid reasons to seek counselling. It's about recognising that everyone experiences challenges and transitions in life, and it's okay to ask for help navigating those moments.

Counselling is a space that is provided to you that allows you to feel safe in a confidential and non-judgemental zone, to allow you right conditions to explore and grow through any challenges you have experienced.

I would just like to finish up by adding I am a warm, genuine person and I will always take you as you come without judgement.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out and we can go from there to get you on the right step to starting your counselling journey.

All the best - Amy.
