About me

Are you are struggling to cope with anxiety or depression?  Perhaps you have been feeling lost or that there must be more to life than this but you don’t know why?   Or maybe a previous trauma is stopping you lead the life you imagined and it’s a struggle to move forward?   If these feelings sound familiar to you, counselling can help.

I can offer you a safe and confidential space to talk, in which you can be heard, without judgement – and this may be the first time you have ever been truly heard.   Our sessions together will be a time for you to focus on your needs, explore your relationships, unpick self-esteem issues, work with childhood trauma or identify patterns that are holding you back.    I passionately believe, providing you this empathic place to be understood, will not only help you understand why you think, feel and behave in the way you do, but give you the confidence to work with these issues and move forward in the way you want to.

I offer talking therapy combined with other types of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Psychodynamic Therapy.    This means I can work in a way that gives you the counselling experience you need, whether this be pure CBT to cope with social or health anxiety, or an integrative approach that can develop organically over time.

I am qualified in Rewind Trauma Therapy which helps with PTSD (trauma flashbacks) or phobias.   This is a short term therapy that only needs between one and three sessions and can help with trauma such as childhood sexual abuse, rape, violent attacks, car accidents, or indeed any traumatic event.   Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Rewind technique and how it could help you.

I have experience of working with a broad range of issues such as anxiety & depression, relationship issues, gender identity issues, bereavement & loss, trauma, PTSD, autism, low self-esteem and simply feeling lost & not OK.

I work from a nurturing and comfortable counselling space in North Tonbridge, with plenty of free off-road parking.    I look forward to welcoming you.

I offer a free initial 15 minute consultation on the phone, with no obligation, so you can decide if you would like to work together.    Please feel free to call me on 07823 438946.  Or we can simply book a first session together to start the work.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
