About me
Are you finding it hard to cope with anxiety or low mood? Maybe you feel lost, disconnected, or aware that life should feel different, but you’re not sure why? Or perhaps a past trauma is still shaping your present, making it difficult to move forward in the way you hoped? Counselling can offer a safe, steady space to explore these feelings and begin to make sense of what’s happening for you.
I’m deeply committed to supporting people as they navigate the challenges that hold them back from living fully. I believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive, and I would be honoured to work alongside you in creating the life you want for yourself.
I offer a safe, non‑judgemental space, grounded in genuine compassion and support. You are encouraged to explore whatever is affecting you now, as well as past experiences that may feel overwhelming or may be holding you back from living a more fulfilling life. Nothing is off‑limits in our sessions; anything that matters to you is welcome, and I will be alongside you with empathy and understanding.
My experience covers a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, and the difficult-to-name sense of “I’m not OK.” I have extensive experience of helping clients with relationship and friendship difficulties, living loss, bereavement & grief, adult and childhood trauma, the impact of challenging or harmful parenting, poor body image, Autism, ADHD, and rejection sensitivity.
My approach is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic models so that our work fits your individual needs. This may mean short‑term counselling with practical strategies to help manage anxiety, or longer‑term psychotherapy to explore deeper experiences such as childhood trauma. Different challenges call for different approaches, and I tailor our work together accordingly. Your input is central throughout, ensuring that our sessions remain focused on what you need.
Counselling is not about me giving advice. Instead, it is a space where you can deepen your understanding of your experiences and feel empowered to make changes or question long‑held beliefs about yourself. My role is to walk alongside you, offering insight & support, while respecting your autonomy and your pace.
I work from a nurturing and comfortable counselling space in North Tonbridge, with plenty of free off-road parking. I look forward to welcoming you.
I offer a free initial 15 minute consultation on the phone, with no obligation, so you can decide if you would like to work together. Please feel free to call me on 07823 438946. Or we can simply book a first session together to start the work.

My counselling journey began more than 25 years ago, working for a charity supporting children who were struggling with bereavement. Since then, my career has taken me through a wide range of settings, including low‑cost adult counselling charities, primary & secondary schools, working with vulnerable adults, a teen and family counselling service specialising in neurodiversity, a sexual health clinic, and private practice.
I now work with adults and teenagers in private practice, in several schools in Tonbridge, and with low‑cost counselling charities in Gravesend and Bexley. I also provide support through a number of corporate Employee Assistance Programmes.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
