About me
Hi my name is Zoe and I'm a Humanistic and Integrative counsellor based in Stamford Lincolnshire. My aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which you are able to explore what brings you to counselling. I offer a creative and dynamic approach; and will work alongside you in a non-judgemental, ethical manner.
I believe in entering into a therapeutic relationship with an open mind, and a keen interest into knowing about your past experiences and relationships. In doing so, my aim is to create a secure relationship that is free of judgement and values your uniqueness.
As a member of the BACP I work to their ethical guidelines, and attend regular Supervision and Continuous Professional Development workshops to support my work.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training started with a 10 week introductory Counselling course at a local college, and since then I have gained the following qualifications;
Intermediate certificate in Counselling
Advanced Certificate in Counselling
BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy
The majority of my experience has been gained through working with young adults with a wide range of presenting issues including; substance misuse, homelessness, employment and education, self image, relationship issues, self harm. However I also have experience of working with older clients, and welcome people of all ages and walks of life.
Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
