About me

I am an accredited, experienced children’s and adult therapist based in Hertfordshire.
I am able to offer face to face sessions, online sessions  or sessions via telephone where needed.

If you would like to discuss and explore further how I may be able to help, I can do this as a free 20 min consultation call at a time that works best for you.

Please ask if you require any additional information or have questions for me.

Training, qualifications & experience

My formal counselling training is Person Centred which supports me to offer a holistic approach to my work.

My background has been a mix of early years, domestic abuse and women’s refuge, and as a senior trauma therapist supporting in sexual, domestic assault.  I have also worked with addiction. I have excellent Mental Health in education experience due to my work in schools with the NHS so am able to off work around low self esteem steam and confidence building as well as friendship and relationship issues.

I am highly qualified in counselling children and young people as well as being highly trained within the safeguarding arena of children, YP and adults.

I have vast experience of working with clients of all ages working through  many things they find difficult to navigate at times. This includes things such as anxiety, depression, low mood, trauma, abuse, self harm, suicidal ideation and addiction issues to name a few. I can offer short term work or longer term where it is needed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
