About me

I'm Zara.

I create a safe space where people can talk openly about what has happened in their lives and figure out how to move forward towards a fulfilling life. This often involves working through core wounds such as abandonment and neglect, which can be challenging but ultimately reduces emotional suffering.

People struggle with various emotions and thoughts, such as anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, and we are usually left overwhelmed with nowhere to go and no one to speak to.

As a therapist, I aim to provide empathy and make sure you feel seen and listened to. So whether it is relationships, emotional regulation, workplace stress, or social or anxiety, I believe working together can make life more manageable.

Let me assure you: I may not have all the answers, but I've had the privilege of working with numerous individuals, helping them enhance their quality of life. Together, we've tackled a wide range of issues, from relationships and self-worth to addiction, body image issues, and career transitions.

Every therapeutic journey is unique. My approach considers your mind, body, and soul. Attachment theory grounds my work to consider how your life experiences influence today's behaviour and relationships. We work in a space that encourages comfort yet challenges boundaries to facilitate growth. The sessions can be tailored to your needs, whether you prefer in-person, online, or a hybrid option that best suits your schedule and preferences.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist, a fitness instructor, and a certified TEFL teacher.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

We can take our time to identify what is holding us back and tune into that inner power we already have. If you have been considering getting help, the idea of looking deep within can be overwhelming, but there is hope. Even if there is a little voice telling you it's not possible, we can work together to overcome it. Why don't we arrange a time to talk in more detail?
