About me

Hi, I’m Vince, and I know how tough life can get. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or the stress of everyday life, it can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it on your own. I’m here to help. With over seven years of experience, a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and registration with the MBACP, I offer you a safe space to talk and heal.

What sets me apart? I’m not just a professional with extensive training—I’m someone who’s lived through many of the challenges you may be facing. As an older male, I bring real-life experience and understanding to my work, helping you feel truly understood and supported as we explore whatever you’re going through.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, OCD, relationship issues, or work-related stress, I offer flexible face-to-face, online, and telephone sessions to suit your needs. My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to help you feel comfortable as we work through your challenges together.

If you’re ready to make a change and move forward, I’m ready to help. Let’s take that first step together—reach out today.

Training, qualifications & experience

I began training in 2017 because I wanted to make a difference by helping others explore difficult and sometimes painful issues they may be facing. I was a volunteer counsellor for two years at Colchester Institute Counselling Service working with clients from different backgrounds who presented with a wide range of issues. This was an invaluable part of my 3 year training at the institutes’ university centre, where I qualified with a diploma and BA (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
