About me
Hello! Welcome to my page!
Are you struggling with your thoughts and feelings? I am here to listen. I offer you a safe space where you can be open about your feelings and feel supported.
My approach is based on a form of psychotherapy that helps you explore your personality and how it has been shaped by your early experiences.
Do you feel overwhelmed or anxious? Do you feel stuck and unable to move on? You might feel that you are stressed and unable to cope and that nobody understands what you are going through. You might find that you keep having conflicts with your loved ones. Or perhaps you have experienced a terrible loss and you are grieving. You might find it hard to verbalise the way you feel, I can empathise with that. Whatever you are going through, I am here to support you.
Together, we can discover more about what might be holding you back from being able to make changes in your life. By looking into your past, I can help you find answers as to why you might be experiencing difficulties in your present life, what led to those problems and what learnt patterns and belief systems are you following?
You can gain an insight into your own patterns of behavior and communication. This awareness will empower you to make more conscious choices in your interactions with others, ultimately leading to healthier and more fulfilling life.
I bring a lot of compassion and self-compassion into my work. I love showing how self-compassion works. It is so easy to be hard on ourselves. But sometimes we are too harsh and we need to learn ways to ease up a bit.
I have helped people overcome various difficulties such as, trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, childhood trauma, confidence issues, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and divorce.
I support an anti-discriminatory LGBTQ+ affirmative stance.
I offer face to face counselling in Winchester, and online counselling on Zoom or WhatsApp.
You can email me on vmiller.therapy@yahoo.com to book your initial session where we can chat about why you are seeking counselling and how I can help you.
I am flexible, I can offer weekly or fortnightly sessions as well.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I like to look into behaviour patterns that affect our relationship with others and ourselves. What is the trigger? Have you experienced the way you feel right now before? Could there be a pattern?
I often find that people lack compassion when it comes to their own thinking and feelings. Your feelings are valid. It is not silly to feel the way you feel right now. There is a reason why you feel that way. I like to offer my clients empathy and compassion and show them how they can do the same for themselves.
