About me
As a BACP-registered psychotherapist, I offer an integrative approach to therapy, combining a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet each client's unique needs. My focus is on creating a collaborative, client-centered space where we can work together to navigate the challenges you're facing. With a deep commitment to empathy, I aim to help you develop practical coping strategies, regain emotional balance, and achieve your personal goals. I believe in fostering self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of empowerment to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore whatever challenges you may be facing. I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship and family concerns, workplace stress, bereavement, and life-limiting illness.
My areas of special interest include perinatal mental health, pregnancy-related issues, and the emotional impact of dementia—whether you're personally affected or supporting a loved one. I also support clients navigating major life transitions, helping them manage uncertainty, loss, or change. My integrative approach means therapy is tailored to your unique.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc in Psychology and Children’s Development, a University Certificate in Counselling, and an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from a BACP-accredited programme. My training has given me a strong foundation in both theory and practice, and I’ve continued to build on this through my work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.
I have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship and family difficulties, bereavement, workplace challenges, and life-limiting conditions. I also have a particular interest in perinatal mental health, pregnancy-related issues, and the emotional impact of dementia. My background allows me to offer thoughtful, evidence-based support tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Client feedback -
I've had counselling from NHS which really wasn't that helpful. Tia not only understood what my stresses were about, she made me come to terms with accepting that they were normal behaviour - understandable - and she gave me support to move forward and put myself in the equation. She really made me think about things and see things from a different perspective at times. She never seemed to be lost for a supportive word or strategy or explanation of why I was feeling or behaving a certain way. I finished each session with my own to-do list of pearls of wisdom from her, and so many takeaways to help me that it was an amazing process and I would thoroughly recommend her support to anyone. Thank you so much Tia.
