About me

Does everything just feel a little too much right now? That's okay. Are you struggling to keep up with the tasks of day-to-day life? That's also okay. Is there something in your life that needs to change but you just feel unable to work through it alone? I can help you. No problem is too big or too small. I am here for you and I hope that I can make your process of reaching out much easier and less daunting as it can be for many people, especially if you're reaching out for the first time.

Who am I?

I am a warm and passionate Person-Centred Counsellor based in the Stockport area, offering both face-to-face sessions and can also offer remote video sessions. If you're wondering what Person-Centred means; I will never tell you what to do, or offer you advice on what to do, but I will encourage you to find what you really need within yourself and grab that control back of your life, even if it feels so far away right now.

What I can offer

I can offer you a completely safe space to talk through what you’re experiencing right now, judgment-free. I can provide you with the support and guidance that you need to become the best version of yourself that you can be, or to work towards creating the life for yourself that feels a little too out of reach right now. As I mentioned previously, my role is not to tell you what to do or to offer you advice, but what I can do is value you, respect you, and allow you to discover your own abilities to create the change that you need.

I work with anything from anxiety, low mood, depression, relationship issues, loneliness, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, bereavement and grief, family issues, and much more.

Want to reach out?

You've made the first step in reaching out so you should be very proud of yourself for that. Drop me an email if you would like to chat about what it is that you’re looking for, and we can arrange our free 20 minute consultation to discuss this together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
