About me

Everyone struggles at different times and sometimes it can feel too much for us alone. I love doing this work and seeing the changes that can happen for people. If you would like to talk with a professional, I would like to offer my help.

Training and Qualifications: I am trained in humanistic psychotherapy but am continually developing and growing as a therapist, which is why I continue to seek out additional training - please see list below. My own personal and professional experiences have taught me the value of therapy and of being with another person who is unconnected to your own circle.

I aim to create a safe, warm and empathic environment so that you will feel heard and understood and can feel confident to make sense of your experiences.

Where:

I work in Hove or Lewes face-to-face as well as online. I also provide the option of home visits for carers, people who are bereaved and maternal and perinatal mental health.

Specific Areas of Experience:

I enjoy working with teens and adults of any age with a range of issues including anxiety and depression, mid-life and big life changes.

Autism and Neurodivergence: I am passionate and experienced with neurodivergence, in particular ASD, ADHD and learning differences such as Dyslexia for both young people and adults with later diagnoses. Also, I have supported parents and carers of children and young people with these diagnoses, who are navigating the system in order to find the right support for their children.

Grief and Bereavement: Alongside my private practice, I worked for two years at my local hospice with bereaved relatives, carers and people living with life-limiting illnesses.

Maternal and Perinatal Mental Health: I volunteered with the East Sussex NHS Perinatal Mental Health Team. This is an amazing service that is unique to Sussex, supporting parents and carers of young babies up to one year old as well as women who have suffered miscarriages or baby loss.

If counselling is something you feel ready to do, please do get in touch.
