About me
My practice is based in Dorking, Surrey
I work with Adults, teenagers and children and specialise in Mother Daughter therapy. I also work as a Divorce and Breakup coach.
I am a warm, empathic counselor who offers a safe supportive space to adults and children, where you can explore any worries or difficulties in total confidence. We all struggle at times and counselling offers you a chance to be listened to, to make sense of your feelings and understand different parts of yourself. I believe that the relationship between the counselor and client is the most important part of therapy, and I create a non judgmental, caring environment where trust and mutual respect can be built working together side by side.
I work with children from 5+ using creative techniques such as sand play, drawings and symbols. Presenting issues I often see include anxiety, bereavement, anger management, friendship issues, bullying, destructive behaviour at school, ADHD, autistic traits, relationship issues, low self esteem, depression and separation anxiety.
In my work with adults I work with many presenting issues, such as generalised anxiety disorder, low self esteem, anger management, bereavement, loneliness, trauma, depression, low self confidence, relationship issues and abuse.
I am one of a small number of certified Mother Daughter coaches in the UK, working to heal this important relationship whatever stage of life.

Training, qualifications & experience
As well as private practice, I currently work in two primary schools, and have many years experience working with children. I also work with cancer patients and carers at They Royal Surrey Hospital and help run a Child Bereavement Group.
I have an Integrative degree (Distinction) in Counselling, NCFE Levels 1-3 in Counselling Skills and Level 4 Counselling with Children Diploma.
I am registered member of the BACP - British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work in line with their ethical framework.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
