About me
It's the nature of life that it is rarely smooth. And no matter how confident people appear on the surface – life sometimes sends us tricky knock-backs. In response, we might develop anxieties or issues that we’d never had before. These issues may appear as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, traumas, phobias, stress, sleep problems, addiction or problems in relationships. You might feel anger more often. It might take longer to calm down. You might feel out of control and find it difficult to explain.
At this point, you might stop and wonder – am I really coping as well as I could? Perhaps you used to be much more positive before? Maybe you feel that something is missing? The resilience that helped you by boosting your hope and confidence... that spark - it might feel like it's disappeared.
Or perhaps you just want to recover the “hidden” you. The resilient, positive and joyful person, that might have been sidelined by current events.
Together we can explore your needs, and help you to work towards your goals.
Just a few sessions...
The good news is it might only take a few therapy sessions to get you back on track. Together we can explore the barriers that are preventing you getting your essential needs met, and discover ways to get you back to full emotional and mental wellbeing, as quickly and as practically as possible.
I have worked with people to help boost their confidence and support their wellbeing for many years as a coach, trainer and one-to-one.
(Full disclosure - I'm also a Laughter Yoga Teacher - yes, seriously!)
ONLINE working
Mostly I work online, via zoom. That means it’s easy for you to find a time and space to set aside for a full session in the comfort of your home or office.
For specific needs, I can offer in-person sessions, from my consulting rooms in Devon (an additional charge may be needed to book one-off in-room sessions, and these are normally reserved for longer 2-hour or 3-hour breakthrough sessions)
When I work
Normally I work week days from 9 to 6pm. I can also offer a few early-evening, or weekend appointments, subject to availability (and at a small additional cost, which we can discuss)
Let's have a chat first?
If this sounds like something that could help you, then please get in touch and book a first session, or if you prefer, we can have an introductory initial (up to 15-minute) phone conversation to find out more about how we can work together.

About Human Givens
The joy of Human Givens psychotherapy is that it often takes only a few sessions (most typically – just 4 – 6 sessions!) to gain the help and insights you need.
And whilst sometimes it may take longer for more complex challenges, the Human Givens way of working is on a session-by-session service, which means you only commit to one session at a time. No block-booking and no long term commitments. YOU are in control!
What to expect in a Human Givens session:
Human Givens therapy is pragmatic and practical. We work together to identify the missing pieces, to break down the barriers that mean you aren’t getting your emotional needs met. The process is goal-focused. And I’ll be asking you really practical questions like: “What do you really want to achieve?” And “When this therapy works, what will you be doing that’s different and helpful to you”?
And relax...
Expect some relaxation and guided visualisation too, because helping you to engage with your imagination of your best possible future, means you can more readily step into that space.
