About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and reiki practitioner based in Manchester. I hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, a Certificate in Hypnotherapy and a Certificate in the Usui System of Natural Healing First Degree Reiki Healing.

I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, including young people aged between 6 and 11 years old and LGBTQIA+ adults, across a wide range of issues from stress and anxiety to relationships to self-esteem and confidence.

The process of therapy can be challenging. Often we will explore difficult feelings and emotions which have likely been buried for long periods of time. This can be painful and emotionally draining and may see you feeling worse before you feel better.

For this reason, it is essential that you work with a professional and qualified therapist who can support and encourage you on your path to recovery. I aim to create a safe, confidential space where you can meet with a non-judgemental therapist who demonstrates empathy, authenticity and compassion.

Therapy is a process and there is no blueprint for how long it can take or what the end result will look like. My aim is to get you to a place of acceptance, where you can face any challenges head on with strength and resilience.

My approach to therapy is pluralistic, which means that I do not believe there is one single 'best way' to do therapy. I understand that different clients need different things at different times and that the best way for me to find out how to help a client is to talk to them about it.

My practice is rooted in the Humanistic (Person Centred) tradition, which means I believe that you are the person who knows you and what you need the best. I combine this, where appropriate, with aspects of both Psychodynamic (which explores your past experiences and how these might be affecting your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.

I work collaboratively with each individual client to first understand their unique situation and then work out how best to approach their treatment.
