About me
Hi I'm Siobhan, a caring and compassionate therapist who is a fully qualified practitioner with several years' experience working online and face to face. I offer Adult Relationship Counselling and I am also trained in Pregnancy Crisis and Pregnancy Loss. I have worked for Relate for several years and also volunteer for the Pregnancy Choices Network to support those who are experiencing a pregnancy crisis or pregnancy loss.
I wonder if you have noticed that there is a pattern happening for you within relationships? Maybe it is around the type of partner you choose or maybe there is a pattern of conflict happening within your relationship? I can help you understand what is happening for you and explore what is holding you back from having the healthy relationship you want and deserve.
Conflict is like a dance, you hear the music playing and then both partners follow specific steps. I help you understand your dance, learn when you hear that music starting to play and what steps you take.
I have worked with hundreds of couples and individuals of all life stages and backgrounds, and I find it a great privilege to be able to support people during their difficult times. Whether you are single or married we can work together to help you achieve the happy and healthy relationships you want and deserve.
About my practice
Sometimes in life we need to take the time to focus on ourselves and our relationships. I will work with you in a compassionate, empathetic and non-judgmental environment so I can understand and hear your experience. I have been trained in Psychodynamic and Systemic theory. This involves looking at your childhood and if there are any patterns you notice happening in adulthood from childhood along with applying attachment theory.
Examples of issues I have worked with include:
Communication
Repeating Patterns
Conflict Resolution
Separation
Sex and intimacy
Pregnancy loss and crisis
Affairs
Trust
Family dynamics
Whatever you are dealing with I am here to support you.
Our first session
The relationship between practitioner and client is so important and I want to make sure you are happy and comfortable working with me. Part of our first session will be establishing this and ensuring you are happy with me supporting you.
The session will give you the space to explore what has brought you to relationship counselling, what you need from relationship counselling and how I can support you moving forward.
Booking an appointment
As I offer zoom, telephone and in-person appointments I can be flexible in the hours that I offer. Morning, afternoon and evening appointments are available, please contact me and we can discuss my availability.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
