About me
Hi, I’m Shelly (she/her) — a COSRT accredited, UKCP registered, Integrative Psychosexual, Relationship and Trauma Therapist, Clinical Supervisor.
My approach is collaborative and integrative, meaning we explore what’s happening at a pace that feels right for you while finding practical ways forward that help you feel more comfortable, confident and connected in your sexual and relational life. I like my clients to leave therapy feeling stronger, more confident with a better connection to themselves and partner/s.
I work inclusively with individuals and couples across a broad spectrum of gender, sexuality and relationship diversity, including polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships.
Sex and intimacy can feel surprisingly difficult to talk about — especially when something that “should” feel natural suddenly doesn’t. It can feel really overwhelming.
Many of the people who contact me are feeling anxious, confused or ashamed about what’s happening in their sexual lives. Quite often this includes people who have noticed their sexual desire has faded or disappeared, leaving them wondering what has changed in their body or relationship.
Others come because of erection difficulties, performance anxiety, pain during sex or a growing sense of distance in their intimate relationships.
You don’t need to arrive with the right language or a clear explanation of the problem, we can start by simply creating a space where these conversations can happen safely, without judgement or pressure.
I aim to keep therapy feeling human and relaxed, and I often use warmth and gentle humour to help people feel more comfortable discussing things that may have felt awkward or taboo elsewhere.
Alongside sexual concerns, I also work with the emotional and relational patterns that shape intimacy — including anxiety, shame, relationship dynamics, and the impact that past experiences can sometimes have on sexual confidence and connection. Take a look at my website for more details on the challenges I work with.
