About me
Hello and welcome to my online profile. Thank you for visiting. I have always enjoyed helping people, so following on from a career as a Holistic Medicine Therapist and Yoga teacher, I decided to further develop my skills/training and I am now a registered Human Givens Psychotherapist working in private practice in Horsley and surrounding areas. I work with adults, couples, families, teenagers and children. I hold enhanced DBS disclosure.
What I know....
Life is just that much harder for us all at the moment so I understand how worry or anxiety might be taking hold and starting to affect how you feel and live your life from day to day but whatever you are struggling with, be it feeling stuck in general or wishing to break a bad habit or wanting to change certain behaviours/feelings, to overcome OCD or sleep better, overcome depression, have relationship concerns or are suffering from emotional abuse - you are not alone, I can help you.
How I can help you...
Working from the Human Givens model, my approach is modern, holistic and solution-focused. Being heard and feeling seen is very important, so together, in the sessions, we will explore the concern(s) that bring you to therapy. I will listen, guide and support you and using effective techniques, I will help you find meaningful solutions for a positive outcome thus enabling you to move forward with your life in relatively short time.
I have experience with a range of issues such as abuse, addictions, anger, stress, sleep issues, anxiety PTSD/trauma, self-harm, OCD, depression, low self-esteem, phobias and relationships. I can also help with panic attacks, imposter syndrome, fear of public speaking, exam anxiety and managing menopause. I have a particular interest in breath work, sleep issues and understanding the mind-body connection and how making small changes can be transformative to our overall wellbeing.
Why choose me...
I understand it can be difficult to choose a therapist and that the idea of attending therapy can be daunting but it really needn’t be. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a key component of successful therapy. I provide a calm, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space to help you feel at ease and share your narrative.
Therapy is not just for those facing struggles, challenges or seeking answers but for anyone who wishes to become more self-aware and live a fulfilling and balanced life. Life is too short to live it any other way.
“Healing begins in the moment we accept the possibility of change. If you change your story, you will change your future". Let me help you change your story.
