Dr Sabina Mazoruk

I am a chartered and HCPC accredited practitioner psychologist with several years of experience in mental healh services. I work with a variety of difficulties including stress, chronic pain, eating disorders, OCD, trauma, anxiety, addictions, low mood and depression. I have a special interest in supporting people with lived experience of growing up with a parent with severe mental health problem such as shizophrenia.

I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including third wave therapies such as Mindfulness, ACT, CFT and DBT), and the wider body of psychological therapy, including attachment, schema and psychodynamic approaches. I also use Brainspotting, a focused brain-body oriented method. In my approach I am guided by your individual needs and therapy goals.

I believe that every person has the potential and inner capacity for growth and healing. Sometimes we may become overwhelmed by difficult experiences and this may lead to chronic stress, anxiety, low mood and even health problems. Other times it might be health problems that lead to psychological difficulties. I offer a safe and empathic therapy space where we can collaboratively explore your experiences, help you grow a deeper understanding of your difficulties and develop new ways for manging them so that you can begin to understand how to move forward, towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
