About me
Hi, I'm Sabina. I am a chartered and HCPC accredited Health Psychologist and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with several years of experience in mental healh services. I currently hold a senior position in the NHS, and also work in a small private practice in Welwyn, Hertfordhire, and online. I work with a variety of difficulties including stress, emotional dysregulation, relational issues, chronic pain, eating disorders, OCD, trauma, anxiety, addictions, low mood and depression.
I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (incl. third wave therapies such as Mindfulness, ACT, CFT and DBT), and the wider body of psychological therapy, including attachment, schema and psychodynamic approaches. I also offer Brainspotting Therapy, a focused brain-body oriented method. In my approach I am guided by your individual needs and therapy goals.
I believe that every person has the potential and inner capacity for growth and healing. I offer a safe and empathic space where we can collaboratively explore your experiences, help you grow a deeper understanding of your difficulties and develop new ways for manging them so that you can begin to understand how to move forward, towards a more meaningful life.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
