I believe that every person has the potential and inner capacity for growth and healing. Sometimes we may become overwhelmed by difficult experiences and this may lead to chronic stress, anxiety, low mood and even health problems. Other times it might be health problems that lead to psychological difficulties. I offer a safe and empathic therapy space where we can collaboratively explore your experiences, help you grow a deeper understanding of your difficulties and develop new ways for manging them so that you can begin to understand how to move forward, towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including third wave therapies such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). I also use Brainspotting, a focused brain-body oriented method. In my approach I am guided by your individual needs and therapy goals.
I have several years of experience working in the field of mental health, including substance misuse, chronic and life changing physical health conditions, and mental health conditions such as anxiety, panic, depression, OCD and others. I currently work between specialist eating disorders service and pain management service within the NHS.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
