Long term conditions
Many people and couples experience difficulties at times throughout their relationship which can impact how they relate emotionally and intimately.
Psychosexual therapy provides a space for individuals and/ or couples to talk and explore potentially sensitive areas in your relationship. Some problems may include:
Loss of sexual desire
Psychosexual therapy incorporates psychodynamic, person centred, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness.
Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness for Anxiety and Stress, Mindfulness for everyday... mindfulness has been discussed more and more over the recent years, there are many ways to incorporate mindfulness in to your life, there are formal (sittings & exercises) and informal ways.. I teach both as I believe mindfulness is for everyone.
I understand that starting therapy can be daunting, please feel free to phone or email me in the first instance.
After which if you are happy, we can arrange the first session at a mutually agreeable time. I prefer to provide weekly sessions, but understand that work commitments can sometimes make this challenging, so work to offer a flexible but structured service when possible.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

As an experienced practitioner, I believe that the relationship (therapeutic alliance) between client and therapist is paramount to the success of any treatment. This provision of a safe non judgemental and empathic environment allows for therapeutic change to evolve. As a CBT Therapist and Integrative Counsellor I work on the ethos that each client is the professional of themselves and I bring the skills and knowledge of evidence based interventions.
