About me
Whatever the reason for you to reach out, I will provide a safe atmosphere where we can explore what is going on for you. Whether you are overwhelmed or in distress by events in your life, have a niggle that life could be more satisfying, or you are seeking balance and a sense of peace, you need an opportunity to just be yourself and concentrate on you. That is what I can offer.
How we would work together
I will be there for you, using my skills and experience to shine a light on your issues. Together we will untangle what is going on for you, to enable you to find new perspectives and your own solutions. We will focus on the issues you bring with you and will work in a way that suits you. This might be looking in-depth at patterns in your life, it might be working with metaphors that suits the issues. We might use creative activities to enable us to find clues. It could also involve practising relaxation techniques to ease anxiety.
What we would work with
We will work in a way that is unique to you and bespoke to what you bring. Anxiety, depression and stress often lies in the background of what makes a person seek me out. Sometimes life hits us around the ear with unexpected shocks and I can be there for you if that is the case as well.
Based on my own lived experience I increasingly work with clients who view the world through a different lens, due to neurodivergence, such as autism, ADHD or both; AuDHD
Talking therapy also helped me come to terms with my own complex grief, and I now work with bereavement, as well as other losses, such as redundancy, relationship-endings, health worries and ageing.
Where we would work
We can work in-person (face-to-face), online or in the outdoors (‘walk and talk’).
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and of the Federation for Holistic Therapists (FHT).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
