About me
I offer one to one counselling and to anyone wanting to change how they feel today. If you keep repeating behaviour that causes pain to yourself or others, if you are overwhelmed by feelings of panic, anger, unworthiness or despair, unable to cope in certain situations then I can offer some gentle but highly effective help using tried and tested techniques. Harnessing your individual resources and strengths I aim to work with you in partnership to find direction and control in the fewest sessions possible.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have practiced full time as a Human Givens Therapist since 2014. Clients tend to be of all ages and many are those who have been suffering from long term anxiety, recurrent bouts of depression, long term or sudden trauma.
I have worked for several charities specialising in trauma.
I have become comfortable and practised using remote media but also practise in a clinic in Brixton South London for those needing a face to face appointment.
Member organisations
The Human Givens Institute (HGI) is both a membership organisation and a professional body representing the interests of those in the caring and teaching professions who have an interest in or utilise the human givens approach. Counselling Directory register Registered Members (MHGI) and Fellow Members (FHGI), who will have completed the Post Graduate Practitioner's Assessment (Part III) and who are fully qualified to practise as a human givens therapist or counsellor. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
