About me

Do you ever feel like you're struggling to hold everything together? Are you feeling unfulfilled, unsure or overwhelmed by life? Maybe you've never really spoken to anyone about how you're feeling, or you're not sure your problems are “big enough” - or small enough - for therapy.

Perhaps difficult relationships, life changes or other painful experiences have left you lacking in confidence or struggling to relate to those around you. You might feel unheard or unappreciated, but not really sure what you would say if someone were to listen.

My Approach
I am a person-centred therapist, which means that I will welcome and support you in whatever you bring to therapy, listening to you and working with you to explore, reflect on and gain insight into yourself and your situation in a warm, welcoming and confidential therapeutic space.

I have supported clients of a range of ages and backgrounds, working with issues including anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, loneliness, relationships, domestic / sexual abuse, loss and trauma. For me, it is the greatest privilege to support someone through their darkest moments and to witness the personal growth and development that therapy can bring.

Counselling can be a fascinating process of self-discovery, helping you to understand how you became the person you are and to think about how you might want to move forwards as you develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance.

Every client and every therapeutic process is different, and I will always value you as a unique individual, with the utmost respect for the journey you have navigated and the place you find yourself in now.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
