About me

Do you feel hopeless, anxious, or depressed? Are you finding it difficult to cope with the pressures of life? 

Life is challenging at times, and talking through your problems can help you make sense of them, which will allow you to make positive choices and changes in your life, helping you to grow. 

I can help by providing you with a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings. I am here to support you and listen to your story with empathy, and we will work together to help you find a way forward. 

I understand opening up to someone new is quite daunting, I offer a FREE 20 minutes initial telephone consultation as an opportunity for us to find out a little more about each other before deciding to book a counselling session and I can answer any questions you might have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a professionally qualified person-centred counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). 

My counselling journey begun at Age UK as a volunteer working with middle age and elderly clients with common mental health issues such as grief and bereavement, stress, anxiety and depression.

​I work privately with adults of any ages and cultural backgrounds. I am a passionate and committed counsellor who continues to undertake available CPD trainings and workshops to gain more knowledge and experience working in counselling industry.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

As a person-centred counsellor, my role is not to 'fix' or advise you, but to give you the space to explore your feelings and help you decide how best to move forward. 

Attending regular sessions is beneficial, however, how long and how often you attend therapy is entirely your decision.
