About me
There are times in life when things seem difficult or overwhelming; no matter how strong you may feel you are. It might be issues that you are very aware of, either recent or from your past, or it may be just a feeling that something isn't right.
Many people are happy to visit their GP to discuss physical health issues, attend a gym or hire a personal trainer to feel physically stronger. I believe that mental health is equally as important and everyone should have the opportunity to be heard, to explore any issues they are facing and make any changes needed to enhance life.
I offer short or long term therapy for adolescents and adults in Medway, Kent. Flexible working with weekly or fortnightly sessions available.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor having completed an Integrative Counselling Diploma (BACP Accredited course). I am also trained in telephone and online counselling.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
I have experience in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, incest and rape as well as working with adolescents and adults on more general concerns such as anxiety, self-esteem and relationship issues.
I also attend regular training and CPD events to broaden my knowledge across many fields.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

With the current climate I am able to offer a number of sessions at a reduced fee to those struggling with their finances at present. Please feel free to discuss with me at point of enquiry.
